New Flesh
Original prosthetic and implant designs by the New Flesh Workshop. New Flesh designs are a combination of body-modification, conventional and unconventional prosthetic techniques, advanced biotechnology and functional sculpture. They are a Physical and Artistic extension of the Human form. These devices are considered functional Body-modifications and are not intended to treat illness or correct deformity. The beauty of the human form comes from its variation and versatility; New Flesh designs embrace and expand these principles.
Low-cost prosthetics
The New Flesh Workshop in developing inexpensive and reliable prosthetic components and devices out of recycled and indigenous materials using simple and effective fabrication
techniques. Unfortunately, there are many areas around the world where prosthetic and orthotic devices are desperately needed but the supply falls far short of the demand. Many charities that support prosthetic relief worldwide, are largely limited by donations of old prosthetic components and by the limitations of local industry. By manufacturing components made out of readily-available materials and techniques, the issue of supply and accessibility can be addressed. These technologies can aid people all around the world.

Open Source 3D Scanning and Immersive 3D design
We are working on a low cost DIY scanning system to provide high fidelity 3D Images that can then be manipulated and sculpted, by hand, in a virtual environment.
Testing
New Flesh LLC conducts in-house testing of its devices, techniques and materials to ensure quality construction, durability and functionality. However, certifications for medical, athletic, and ballistic use require third party testing. This is a rigorous and expensive process. In order to ensure the best possible products available, New Flesh LLC. is pursuing accreditation for several of our devices, materials and techniques.
